Student Achievements Celebrated at Academic Honors Day

Students, faculty, staff, and special guests gathered in John L. Hill Chapel on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, to honor the outstanding achievements of our students for the Academic Honors Day ceremony.
"This is truly one of my favorite days of the year," said Provost Jonathan Sands Wise. "Today, we celebrate the hard work of our students and faculty throughout the academic year. and recognize the achievements of our students." In addition to departmental awards and scholarships presented by faculty, the prestigious Dean's Honor Award was presented by Provost Jonathan Sands Wise to two outstanding seniors.
The 2025 Dean's Honor Award recipients were Diana Alvarado from Georgetown, Kentucky, and Jadon Haller from Delaware, Ohio. Alvarado is a double major in Spanish and Sociology with a concentration in Social and Criminal Justice. She is a member of the Christian Scholars and Oxford Honors program and completed a term at Regent's Park College at Oxford University. Haller is a History major with a double minor in English and Classics. He is a member of both the Christian Scholars and Oxford Honors program, and completed two terms at Regent's Park College.
