Georgetown College is proud to offer scholarship benefits exclusively for Scott County residents, whether they first attend Georgetown as a freshman or as a transfer student. There are 4 scholarships exclusively for Scott County High School graduates:

Georgetown College Scholarships for Scott County Residents

Scott County Housing Scholarship: All Scott County residents are eligible for one semester of free housing their first semester of college at Georgetown. We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to see the community on campus and decide if joining this community is right for you.

 

Scott County Scholarship: High-need students with a strong academic background can receive scholarships and grants to cover full tuition for their first year. These scholarships and grants are renewable for up to four years as long as the student remains in good standing and meets these additional eligibility requirements:

  1. Have a GPA of at least 3.0 (unweighted) and ACT composite score of at least 20
  2. File a valid FAFSA by Nov. 1
  3. Reside in Scott County
  4. Be eligible for a federal PELL grant
  5. Plan to live in campus housing

Unique Scholarships for Scott County Students Attending Georgetown College

Toyota Scholarship:  Due to a partnership between Scott County, Toyota Manufacturing, and Georgetown College, one excellent student from Scott County High School who chooses to attend Georgetown College can receive the Toyota Scholarship each year. A separate application is required, due by April 1st, and the award amount is $5,000 per year, renewable for four years.

Suffoletta Scholarship:  The Suffoletta Family has also chosen to offer a special scholarship to students from Scott County High School coming to Georgetown College. This application is also due by April 1st, and the award amount is $1,000 for the first year only.

Meet Jessica, a recent Scott County High School graduate. While at Georgetown College she has had the opportunity to study abroad and conduct research at Oxford University.

 

A student may benefit from additional scholarships and grants from other sources which can be added to the value of any of these scholarships.
