The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi
Chapter 287
Phi Kappa Phi is the oldest national honor society that recognizes academic achievement in all areas of study. Junior candidates with at least seventy-two credit hours must be in the top 7.5% of their class as ranked by grade point average, and senior candidates must be in the top 10% of their class. The top 10% of the graduate degree candidates as determined by both their graduate and undergraduate grade point averages are also invited to become members. The Georgetown College chapter, established in 2003, is the 287th in the nation. Members of this prestigious organization are wearing a medallion provided by the chapter.
Honors Program
The Georgetown College Honors Program mission is to help motivated students reach their fullest academic potential by challenging them throughout their college careers, promoting a high level of intellectual discourse, helping them broaden their cultural experiences, and fostering academic research. Students who achieved this distinction are wearing an orange sash embossed with the Georgetown College seal on the tips.
Graduation Honors
Undergraduate students are eligible for graduation with Latin honors by meeting the following GPA requirements. Students earning the required GPA are wearing a white sash.

| Magna Cum Laude | 3.70 through 3.89 |
| Cum Laude | 3.50 through 3.69 |
