ON WE GO! – August 8, 2018

Submitted on August 8, 2018

This past April, Dr. Laura Johnson, our former Vice President for Student Life, resigned from the College in order to accept a position as Title IX Coordinator for Baylor University. In early July, Dr. Todd Rasberry, our Vice President for Advancement, resigned to accept a similar position at West Texas A&M University. These are fine colleagues who served Georgetown well, but whom, in the flow of their careers, chose to move to other institutions. They know of our appreciation for their service, and of our good wishes to them for future success.

I also regard their situations as a compliment to Georgetown College. When those two fine institutions could have selected other individuals to fill their vacancies, they chose administrators from Georgetown. The implication of those choices should not be lost on anyone, for it displays high regard for the quality of Georgetown’s staff. Best wishes to our friends in Texas, as we move forward at Georgetown College.
