Submitted on July 10, 2020
Thanks to the alumni and friends who support Georgetown College, the college’s fundraising goal for the Annual Fund of $1,750,000 for FY20 has been met and surpassed. The college finished the fiscal year on June 30, 2020 having raised a total of $1,827,122.61 towards the Annual Fund for the fiscal year.
“Each year Georgetown College finds itself indebted to our generous alumni and friends who make our championship-level education of the heart and mind possible,” said Vice President of Development, John Davis. “This year was no exception. Thank you, to all who supported the College this past fiscal year – you help to make a top-notch education affordable to so many deserving students.”
The Annual Fund is crucial to making Georgetown College’s transformational education more accessible to students. The generosity of alumni and friends will make an enormous difference in the lives of current and future Tigers in the years to come.
“The College’s Annual Fund touches all aspects of campus and enables us to move beyond status quo operation,” said Davis. “Over the next few years, this financial support will prove more crucial than ever as the College expands our reach to greater numbers of deserving students.”
In addition to the Annual Fund success, the college also surpassed its goal of $25,000 raised for the new Inclusion and Kindness Fund, which will be used to help make Georgetown College a more welcoming and inclusive campus.
Of course, this success is in part thanks to the hard work of the incredibly talented Alumni and Development team at GC. “In addition to our loyal alumni and friends, the Alumni and Development team deserves much of this year’s credit,” said Davis. “They go above and beyond, every day, in support of the College’s mission of educating students.”
Once again, thank you to the alumni and friends of Georgetown College who made this fiscal year a tremendous success.
