Submitted on April 13, 2018
Georgetown College football is set to square off in the 121st Orange & Black Scrimmage at 6:30 pm Thursday (April 19). Gates will open at 5:30 pm for this free evening of Tiger football.
“We’ve had a great spring and I think this will be a fun night for our fans to show some appreciation to our returners as well as get a look at some of the winter transfers and our incoming freshmen class,” said GC coach Bill Cronin. “We love spring game. After the grueling hours of hard work in the weight room and on the practice field, we take a moment to enjoy and compete.”
The seniors will divide up the teams in a draft Tuesday night following the final regular spring practice. Wednesday the newly created Orange and Black teams will have a day to practice together, scheming and game planning for the final part of spring.
Cronin’s 2018 signees will be in attendance, catching a glimpse of their future as part of Tiger football family. They will be introduced throughout the game.
Fans are encouraged to come out to Toyota Stadium and cheer on the Tigers, Orange and Black, as they add another exciting game to this rich tradition. The series is tied 60-60.
