The Equine Scholars Program is a professional development program for students interested in pursuing a career within the equine industry. Non-breed and non-discipline specific, students have the opportunity to learn about the industry through a holistic lens while understanding what is takes to be successful. Unique in approach, ESP empowers students to pursue an academic degree of their choice while teaching them how their interests in the classroom connect back to a career within the equine industry. Students have the opportunity to connect with top tier professionals through select tours, an on-campus guest lecturer series, internships, volunteering, and more. Preparing with experience makes a difference.

The Equine Scholars Program is truly unique. Students are able to major in any of the academic tracks available at the college and are taught how to apply that skill and interest to the equine industry. Students have the opportunity to interact with a variety of professionals through select tours, an on-campus guest lecturer series, and unique internship opportunities.
Field experience is integral to preparing for success upon graduation. With the Equine Scholars Program at Georgetown College, students have the opportunity to connect with industry through job shadowing, interning, and volunteering. This experience allows students to understand an area of unique to their personal interests and goals while gaining valuable professional connections.
