The Independent Honors track challenges students to discover and develop their intellectual strengths and purpose by completing a personalized honors curriculum developed in consultation with an honors adviser.
Applications are due by February 1st, and the interview will be on February 16th, 2018, for invited students.
Independent Honors Students work closely with the program director to fulfill program requirements in a way that supports their academic and intellectual development.
As juniors, Independent Honors Students design and complete a non-traditional honors experience for credit. Jaqui Johns (Class of 2017) worked with Kentucky Refugees Ministries to fulfill this requirement and prepare to write her honors thesis.
Interested Independent Honors Students may switch to the Oxford or Science Honors Track with the consent of the director.
