Georgetown College invites applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Teacher Education to begin in August 2018. The successful candidate will hold an earned doctorate in education (Ph.D or Ed.D) and will have extensive teaching experiences in grades K-8. Candidates who are ABD with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with experiences in program accreditation.
The Visiting Professor of Education will teach primarily undergraduate education courses on campus but may also be asked to teach graduate on-line courses. The ideal candidate will have specialty training in literacy education. Additional responsibilities include student advising, clinical supervision, and program accreditation efforts.
